Many people have different opinions on what is better political leadership? National or Local, which has more influence?
to me Local has way more influence here is why
Local
1) The City can directly make changes in ordinances that affects people lives
2) Each barrangay captain has its own powers to their communities
3) The nationa government cannot react as fast as LGU can

I would say 25% national and 75% Local. Its because the funding needed will be coming from National Fun, but implementation will be in the Local level.
In our time during Marcos, local government units was really powerless. So i guess it depends on the situation, marakal mete tao kanita panahun mi.TaramKalis wrote: ↑Tue May 19, 2020 8:33 am Many people have different opinions on what is better political leadership? God is the almighty leadership pu. but as terms for political leadership I think local political leaders have more impak to our daily lives, like take a look now. Deng SAP e la pu ma implement masalese because of local leadership, some are stealing it but who does the government assign to distribute the relief funds?

As a Business what affects us most is local leadership. here is why
1) Business Permit
2) Barrangay Fees
3) Local ordinance
So yes that pretty much sums it up for me as a Business.

I still strongly believe Local leadership matter the most. Yes we do have a national Budget but we also have a local Budget and that money is managed by your LGU.
Local leadership would be more important in my opinion especially in a Federalist government system like U.S. Here in the U.S each state, city have their own power. For example the Mayor of Chicago can say F U to trump and the city of chicago can do that but the national goverment can decide to cut some of their funding. However cities like chicago make so much money it dont need the Federal government money to survive. In the Philippines I understand that money from the province is sent to central government and then redistributed on each committee. How can a committee from outside the province understand every detail the local budget needs? it also needs to go through Budget planning, so time is also wasted. so yea, I think Local is more important especially in a Federalist country, actually Philippines should switch to Federalism because there so many Islands, provinces.
