Artist: Taram Kalis (Sharpest Blade, Metaphorically Sharpest Mind)
Style: Calligraphy
Script: Kulitan also known as Sulat Kapampangan.
Gulis Kulitan is Taram Kalis style of calligraphy. Gulis means a stroke, line, mark, a stripe, a flourish and Kulitan is the name for the indigenous Kapampangan script. The artist enjoys creating face like strokes in his designs. The name of this art is called Ati Ku, which means I exist. He surrounded the face with bamboos to signify struggle and life. The bamboo tree takes five years to grow. They have to water and fertilize the ground where it is every day and it doesn't break through the ground until the fifth year. But once it breaks through the ground within five weeks it grows 90 feet tall.
