When you hear “Pidayit” it can only mean Philip D. Torres designs – “Pidayit-dayit,” a Kapampangan word that means putting together clothing materials to form a new one. The Pidayit style translates to an assortment of clothing and accessories, all bearing the same hand-crafted look and appeal conjoined of chic and culture.
Philip has travelled the world and with every travel, he gets bits and pieces of ideas from these countries although the idea of “Pidayit” is his own. The story of “Pidayit” was not born in a silver platter. It actually started in 2000 but officially launched in 2005 only when Philip held a Charity Fashion Show at Holy Angel University which was a great success!
The amount of time spent in making “Pidayit” is not fast that you can produce them overnight. It takes time, a lot of patience and talent to create one. A single “Pidayit” clothing can take one to three months to make depending on how intricate the design is. Majority of the people who work for Philip are women. they are stay at home wives, out of school youth and some students who only work on weekends.
